Overview The Melbourne Spurr photographs contains five black-and-white portraits taken by deaf photographer Melbourne Spurr in the 1920's. The subjects are five American silent film actresses from that time period. The collection also includes three postcards featuring Melbourne Spurr's portraits used to advertise an exhibition of his works held in Rochester, NY in 2009.

Overview A collection of Deaf poetry videotapes, dvds, and digital documents containing lectures, performances, and interviews documenting ASL (American Sign Languagae) poetry. The materials were gathered while conducting research for Heart of The Hydrogen Jukebox, a documentary film by Miriam Lerner about ASL poetry.

Overview The collection contains one oil painting by Deaf Latinx artist Miguel Diaz Calderon. The painting depicts a orangish-blue skyscape/seascape composed of two background spheres and six floating islands. Islands with fauna contain various scenes: a lighthouse and boat; waterfall; fishing vessel over large fish and dock; crystals; a tree on a cube island; and at lower left is a painter seated in front of a canvas with a nude woman crouched in a cavern below.
